Georgia State University goes live on Aeon
Virginia Beach, VA — Georgia State University (GSU) is now live using Aeon to manage researcher requests and staff workflows for their archives and special collections. Located in Atlanta, Georgia, Georgia State University joins more than 100 institutions currently using Aeon.
A department of the University Library, Special Collections primarily document people and organizations in the 20th and 21st century American South. GSU collections include more than 8 million photographs found in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Lane Brothers, and Tracey O’Neal collections. Aeon will allow GSU to efficiently manage the Johnny Mercer Reading Room that is open to faculty, staff, students, outside scholars, and the public.
Atlas staff provided implementation and training services to GSU staff and will continue to provide hosting and support services of their Aeon installation.
We wish Georgia State University congratulations on their successful implementation, and we welcome them to the Aeon Community.
