Atlas Systems Names Heather Black to be Concierge Coordinator

In recognition of the growth of the Concierge Services program, Atlas Systems has created the position of Concierge Coordinator and named Heather Black to fill the role. Concierge is a subscription service for Access Services and Aeon designed to help libraries with special projects, workflow analysis, and overall productivity enhancements.

Black has been a training and library solutions consultant for Atlas Systems since May 2010. In this role, she has provided implementation and continuing education training for ILLiad, Ares, and Aeon; developed self-paced tutorials for the Atlas Video Training Library; and consulted with ILLiad and Ares libraries to improve their workflow efficiency through the Atlas Tune-Up program.

Previously, as a member services librarian for the Bibliographical Center for Research (BCR), she provided resource sharing training and consulting services to a diverse cross-section of communities—from rural public libraries to urban academic settings to statewide library networks.

Black holds an MLIS from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and has worked in libraries in resource sharing, access services, and collection development.

“Our Concierge customers have provided great feedback on how we can make the service even more valuable to them,” said Stephanie Spires, Chief Service Officer. “Heather brings a customer service focus as well as a full range of experience with libraries and Atlas products. Under her leadership Atlas will be able to offer our customers an even higher level of personal service and support to enrich the experience for current as well as future Concierge customers.”
