Atlas Systems Ends 2016 with Strong Growth in Sales and Service

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – December 15, 2016 – Atlas Systems, the leading provider of time-saving solutions for libraries, announced today that 2016 was a strong year for the company, with expanded sales in Ares and Aeon and growth in the number of institutions subscribing to the Concierge Service.

“We know the sales cycle in academic libraries, special collections, and archives can be long, so we are grateful to end 2016 on a high note,” said Dan Specht, Atlas’ CFO/VP Sales and Marketing. “We’ve expanded our reach into different types of institutions and are especially excited about our first Aeon installation in Australia at the University of Melbourne. It’s been a great year, as well, for Concierge as more institutions recognize the value of having extra, expert help for the projects they don’t have time or staff to do.”

Specht says other areas of service will continue to grow in 2017. “Every year we learn more about the needs of the archives and special collections community. In 2016 we became an ArchiveSpace Registered Service Provider and launched ArchivesSpace hosting services. As more ArchivesSpace customers work with us we will better understand how we can enhance this service. We also anticipate growth in the area of Web Visibility Services through our linked data partnership with Zepheira. All in all, we expect 2017 to be another year of innovation for Atlas and our customers.”
