The Archdiocese of Boston Archives is live with ArchivesSpace supported by Atlas Systems

Virginia Beach, VA –The Archdiocese of Boston Archives is live using ArchivesSpace to manage and provide access to their collections. Located in Braintree, Massachusetts, the Archdiocese of Boston Archives collects, preserves, and provides access to materials related to the history of the Catholic Church in New England, particularly in eastern Massachusetts. Its collections span roughly from the establishment of the diocese in 1808 to the present day and consist of archival materials in all formats. It is the mission of the Archives to assist researchers in their scholarly, genealogical, and other work in an effort to cultivate a better understanding and appreciation of the history of the Archdiocese and the Boston Catholic community.

Atlas worked with the Archdiocese of Boston Archives throughout their implementation project and will continue to provide the Archives with hosting, technical and software support.

We congratulate the Archdiocese of Boston Archives on the completion of their implementation project and welcome them to the ArchivesSpace Community.
