Maximizing ILLiad Efficiency with the LibKey (DSP) Integration

Virginia Beach, VA — LibKey is now available as a Decision Support Pipeline (DSP) add-on for ILLiad. This powerful integration automatically checks whether a requested article is available through Open Access or via library-subscribed sources. By doing so, it accelerates the article fulfillment process, reduces manual intervention, and improves overall workflow within ILLiad.

The LibKey DSP add-on enhances ILLiad’s efficiency by analyzing in-bound ILL requests that include a DOI or PMID to determine if the article is available from Open Access or the libraries subscribed sources. If the article is available, a direct link will be added in the email template to the patron enabling direct access to the article without further staff intervention. If the article is not available, the request is forwarded into the ILLiad fulfillment workflow.

Join us for a special free webinar on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at 2:00 PM CST. During this session, Sara Juel, Atlas Access Services Program Manager, and John Sequin, MLS, President and Chief Library from Third Iron, will walk you through the capabilities of the LibKey DSP integration, demonstrate its impact on ILLiad workflow, and answer any questions you may have.

Tickets for this free webinar are available now. Follow this link to register: Benefits of adding LibKey as an ILLiad DSP add on.
