First public library goes live with Aeon

Virginia Beach, VA – On May 3, 2021 Atlas Systems reached a new milestone as the New York Public Library’s Manuscripts, Archives, and Rare Books Division at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture went live with Aeon. Aeon in production at the NYPL marks the first public library implementation of the software designed for special collections and archives. The Division is the first of eleven reading rooms at the New York Public Library slated to implement Aeon.

Aeon is designed to automate request and workflow management for any library or archive. Atlas has been working closely with several public libraries to implement Aeon, and we are delighted to introduce NYPL as the first to be live and in production. We wish NYPL congratulations and welcome them to the Aeon Community.
