Atlas Systems sponsors the RUSA STARS Mentoring Award
Virginia Beach, VA — Atlas Systems congratulates Amanda L Scott, Resource Sharing Librarian at Texas State University, as the 2024 winner of the STARS Mentoring Award.
Sponsored by Atlas Systems, the Sharing and Transforming Access to Resources Section (STARS) Mentoring Award is selected by RUSA a division of the American Library Association. The award offers a gift of $1,250 to fund travel expenses associated with attending ALA’s annual conference. The recipient will be a library practitioner who is new to the field of interlibrary loan/document delivery or electronic reserves, and who has daily, hands-on involvement in the areas of borrowing, lending, document delivery, electronic reserves, material delivery, or resource sharing.
Amanda is an early career librarian and became the Resource Sharing Librarian at Texas State University in the fall of 2023. Her passion for resource sharing is evident in her dedication to advancing practices that provide the best service to internal and external patrons. Attending ALA Annual with support and guidance from a mentor will help her to further build connections in the resource sharing community. Her future aspirations include consortia development and creating centers dedicated entirely to free resource sharing.
