Atlas Systems One of First Sponsors of the Libhub Initiative

Atlas Systems has joined Innovative and Sirsi/Dynix as the first three sponsors of the Libhub Initiative, as announced March 18, 2015 by Zepheira LLC. The Libhub Initiative was founded by Zepheira to encourage the use of Linked Data to expand Library Visibility on the Web.

In announcing Atlas’ sponsorship Jason Glover, president of Atlas Systems, said “Atlas believes that the Libhub Initiative is an important first step toward allowing libraries to weave their resources and services into mainstream search results in order to provide Web users the highest level of access….Increasingly we see our role as one of fulfillment. As libraries become more visible on the Web a cycle of awareness, interest, request, and fulfillment is created. With ILLiad for resource sharing, Ares for electronic reserves, and Aeon for special collections management Atlas completes the cycle for the Visible Library.”
