Where Do I Start?
Once you have completed the online order form and OCLC forwards your information to Atlas Systems, a support team member from Atlas will be in contact to get you started. You will receive an introductory packet in the mail with some helpful hints and handouts to use during the implementation process. More about: Where Do I Start?
Server Installation
The first step in you ILLiad implementation is usually arranging your server installation. If your server is hosted by Atlas Systems, Atlas will immediately create your web server and ILLiad database. If you are hosting your own ILLiad server, Atlas will arrange with your IT staff a way to install ILLiad on your server remotely (using remote desktop connection or WebEx) or send instructions for self-installation. Client Installation
Once your ILLiad server is setup, you can install the ILLiad Clients on your ILL staff workstations. You may also want to install the client on some or all reference desks and at circulation. The client installation process is simple and involves running a setup program on each client machine. Once your server is ready, you'll receive instructions on how to install your clients. Installation Wizard
At any point during the implementation process before your on-site training, you can begin filling out your OCLC ILLiad Installation Wizard. This toolkit asks you a series of questions about your policies, contact information and customization preferences for your ILLiad database. You can close the wizard at any time and come back to it later to fill it out. Once you've completed the wizard, send it to so that we can apply it to your ILLiad installation. If you change your mind later about any of the settings, you can easily edit them using your Customization Manager. More about: Installation Wizard
Preparing for On-Site Training
Before a trainer comes on-site to walk you through going live with Lending, you can attend as many Going Live Q&A sessions as you would like online. Atlas also offers serveral videos to watch that give an overview of OCLC ILLiad to prepare for going live and customizing your implementation. More about: Preparing for On-Site Training

When you are ready to go live with Lending, you can contact Service to arrange for an on-site visit from one of our expert trainers. The trainer will walk you through going live with your ILLiad installation for Lending and you will be able to process live requests using the ILLiad system hands-on. You will also receive further information on your Borrowing customization and implementation process as well as helpful hints for after the trainer leaves. More about: Going Live with Lending
