SUMMARY

• Open a web browser and go to the CSA Admin module:

http://md1.csa.com/ids70/admin_profile.php

• Log in using your CSA admin account information.
• Click the Linking Options tab.
• Click Interlibrary Loan.
• Scroll down to Link Using Your OpenURL ILL Resolver
• Select ILLiad as your type of ILL Management System.
• Enter the URL of your ILLiad server.

Examples:

Single Server ILLiad System or Shared Server ILLiad System with Shared Web pages.

Shared Server ILLiad System with distinct web pages. (Replace NVTGC in the example below with your site's NVTGC code in capital letters, example: ABC.)

• For the "Show Link As" value, enter either the URL of your image.gif file or the text you want the link to display for example: "Send Request to ILLiad".
• Click Preview to preview the image.
• Click Enable to enable ILL Management System linking.
• Logout and test by using a CSA database.
  • Find an Article to request.
  • Click on the Request via ILLiad button.
  • Submit the request.
  • Log into the ILLiad client - Borrowing.
  • View the request to verify that it was successfully submitted.

SUMMARY

When you click the test buttons on the FirstSearch Administration page to verify that the specified OpenURL link information is set up correctly, the ILLiad OpenURL Logon page should appear and allow you to log into the system, but since no real OpenURL information is being sent other than an ISBN, you will not be able to successfully submit anything to the system. This is normal behavior.

If all of the above tests are successful, sending a record to ILLiad via OpenURL through the regular FirstSearch interface should work fine.
