SYMPTOMS
When trying to run any component of ILLiad, you receive an error that the system can not load the IDAPI service library file NTWDBLIB.DLL.
ERROR MESSAGES
Vendor Initialization Failed; Can not load IDAPI service library file NTWDBLIB.DLL.
CAUSE
The Borland Database Engine (BDE) can not find the Microsoft SQL Server drivers in order to access the database.
RESOLUTION
There are 2 ways to fix this problem: Reinstall the drivers from the original CD, or reinstall the ILLiad Client using the setup program.
To reinstall using the Microsoft SQL Server CD, run the default installation program. One of the options is to do a Drivers Only installation. This will replace the missing drivers.
To reinstall the ILLiad Client, run the setup.exe for ILLiad in the ILLiad share. You can use this approach on either the client or server machine.
