Reports – This link will take the user to the Ares web reports.
Web Administrative Suite – This link will take the user to the Ares Administration Suite.
Email Templates – opens the email templates form so they can be reviewed, edited, or deleted. New templates can also be added for use in the Ares Email Routing feature. This feature will display the email template under the “Email Routing” menu on the Item Detail Form. The staff can then use the template to send an email to whomever the email is intended for. To add tags to the email template that will import actual item or other contact info when the email is used in Ares processing, right click in the email text area and choose the tag you want to use. It will be placed where the cursor is currently located.
Semesters – The Semester Maintenance Form is where the semesters are maintained. A new semester is given a name and a Start and End date. There is also a “Item Addition Date” that allows you to restrict how early before a semester starts that items can be posted to that semester. Existing semesters can also be maintained. Also note, consecutive semesters can have their dates overlap if needed.
Rightsholders – This is a listing of rightsholders used for copyright purposes. It displays those entities that own the copyright, for journals or other items that may not be accessible through the Copyright Clearance Center. The staff can access this for contacting those entities get approval for E-Reserves usage. When clicking on a specific rightsholder, the form also shows items that are waiting copyright approval from that rightsholder.
Email Checkup – This log shows the list of emails that have not yet been sent by Ares, and those that have failed to send. There are two tabs on this form, one for Pending Messages, and the other for Failed Messages. The Failed Message tab gives the staff person the option of resending one specific email, resending all Failed emails, or marking an email as sent. This last option may be used, perhaps, because the email no longer needs to be sent, or because it was sent outside of Ares.
Link Checker - This tool is running on the Ares server nightly to verify all items that are linked to a web site are still valid (page has not been removed or otherwise inaccessible. This Link Checker Form allows the staff to review those items that had errors. and those that succeeded. The staff can tell Ares to ignore certain items (if the web site is only accessible by logon) by selecting the item and clicking on "Ignore". The staff can also have Ares "Retry" the link, or just "mark as Ok" if the staff already knows the link is fine (due to temporary network, web site outage, etc). The staff will know if Ares found a bad link during the night by the following icon on the Ares Main Menu

Change Password – the staff person can change their password for the Ares system from this form.
