Overview of Ares Administration Suite

The Ares Administration Suite is web based so the Administrators of the Ares system can access its features from any location without having to load a client on the PC first.  The Administration Suite is used to add new staff client Users, and change settings that affect how Ares operates.  These customizable settings are updated in real time so any change immediately updates the system.

 

The Administrator logs into the Administration Suite  at http://<yourservername>/ares/admin/aresadmin.dll they are shown the System Information tab by default.

 

If the Ares client is on the PC, the Administration Suite can be accessed from the Main Menu under Maintenance|Web Administrative Suite.

 

A helpful feature is the search box which is accessed in the upper right corner of the Administrative Suite.    The search will look at the Key name, Description, or Value, so you can find what you are looking for.  This is helpful if you know the Key name (or just part of the key name) but do not know the heading under which it is stored.
