Highlights of new sales of Aeon for special collections management include five University of California campuses (UCLA, UC Santa Barbara, UC Riverside, UC San Diego and UC Santa Cruz), University of Maryland, University of Illinois and the Huntington Library.
New sales of Ares e-reserves software include University of Saskatchewan, Wright State University and Georgia Institute of Technology.
Introduced in fall 2013, Concierge is designed to help institutions maximize the ongoing value they derive from using Atlas software while minimizing investments in local staff time and IT resources. Early adopters of Access Services Concierge for ILLiad and Ares include University of Wisconsin – Platteville, Utica College and The Citadel. Aeon Concierge is available to Aeon sites hosted by Atlas Systems.
According to Dan Specht, chief financial officer and vice president of sales and marketing, Atlas ended 2013 having achieved several important milestones, including growth in sales and a firm product enhancement schedule that customers can count on. “Aeon continues to meet with widespread acceptance in the academic community as increasing numbers of special collections managers and library directors recognize the value automation brings to their users,” he said. “Ares has gained broad visibility in Canada as well as with U.S. libraries that are automating reserves for the first time or moving from an older e-reserves system that no longer meets their needs.
