Atlas Development Team Expands to Serve Growing and Diverse Customer Base

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – May 10, 2013 – A growing customer base and new products and services are creating the need for expanded positions in the development team, Atlas Systems, the leading provider of time-saving solutions for libraries, announced today.

Dustin Stokes will assume the new role of Development Team Leader.  “With new product opportunities and future additions to the development team, the time is right to create this position to more closely oversee development of all Atlas products,” noted Curtis Poston, Chief Technology Officer.  “Dustin is a key member of the development team and has been assuming new responsibilities ever since he joined Atlas in 2007. Moving him into this new position is a reflection of his contribution to the Atlas community.”

Caitlin Hafen Joins Atlas Staff as Technical Writer

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – April 30, 2013 – Atlas Systems, the leading provider of time-saving solutions for libraries, is pleased to announce that Caitlin Hafen will assume the position of Technical Writer, beginning in June. Hafen currently works as Borrowing Supervisor, Interlibrary Loan, Brigham Young University, Harold B. Lee Library in Provo, Utah. In her role as Technical Writer, she will be responsible for developing documentation for ILLiad, Ares and Aeon.

“We are delighted to welcome Caitlin to the Atlas team,” said Genie Powell, Chief Customer Officer. “In addition to her strong background in writing and communication, she has been creating documentation specific to Interlibrary Loan processes in ILLiad for several years and serves as the Interlibrary Loan support contact for five of BYU’s sister institutions. We look forward to her expanding the role of documentation writer to include enhanced communication with our customers.”

During her tenure at BYU, Hafen compiled a comprehensive training manual for supervisors and student employees in Interlibrary Loan, created a variety of custom routing rules and queues to streamline borrowing and document delivery processes, and facilitated a complete redesign of the ILL website with a focus on ease of use and simplification.

Hafen holds a Bachelor of Arts, English Language from BYU. She has presented at the Northwest ILL and ILLiad Conferences.
